Charles Yang is a USC Marshall and NYU alumnus with a background in business analytics, economics, and mathematics. He has worked with organizations including Merit Interactive and Shanghai ClearTV, delivering data-driven solutions across healthcare, insurance, and consumer markets. His experience spans machine learning, predictive modelling, experimentation, and large-scale data analytics, with projects generating measurable improvements in efficiency, forecasting accuracy, and strategic decision-making.

Christine (Xiaoyang Ma) is a Machine Learning Engineer at TikTok. She recently graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a Master’s degree in Information Systems Management, and previously studied Economics and Mathematics at NYU.
Emmanuel Odumusi
Dr. Emmanuel Odumusi, DBA, PMP, is a Digital Transformation and Business Development Leader with over 13 years of experience driving innovation, entrepreneurship, and organizational growth. He holds a Doctorate in Business Innovation Management from UCAM Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia, where his research examined the digital transformation of business models and product innovation. Throughout his career, he has led projects focused on digitalization, enterprise development, strategic partnerships, and innovation ecosystem building, working with entrepreneurs, SMEs, and international development organizations. His expertise combines project management, business strategy, digital transformation, and innovation management, enabling organizations to navigate change, improve competitiveness, and create sustainable impact.
Espoir Joubouh
Espoir Joubouh is an architectural designer and BIM specialist with a Master of Architecture and Building Engineering and professional experience in architecture, construction management, and digital project delivery. He has worked with Magil Construction, Excelsior Consulting, and Urbatech Conseils, leading BIM coordination, project documentation, quality control, and construction planning initiatives. His experience includes supporting a 9-story high-rise project, developing BIM standards for architectural teams, delivering professional BIM training, and achieving measurable project cost savings through procurement and coordination excellence.
Fernanda Fontes
Fernanda Fontes is a UX Designer and Researcher with a Master’s degree from Carleton University, over 15 years of design experience, and 6+ years specializing in UX research. She has worked with organizations including the United Nations, leading research-driven initiatives focused on user experience, service design, and experience optimization. Her expertise spans qualitative and quantitative research, design thinking, and behavioural insights, helping organizations better understand and serve their users. She has also presented research internationally and contributed to academic projects supporting Women in STEAM.

Computer Programming Workshop Instructor
Naya is a Software Developer specializing in full-stack web applications, database management, and modern software engineering practices. With a background in Software Engineering studies at the University of Calgary and ongoing diploma studies at SAIT, she has developed enterprise-style applications, AI-powered tools, and data-driven business solutions. Her technical expertise spans React, Next.js, TypeScript, Python, SQL, cloud technologies, and API development. Passionate about building efficient and user-centered digital products, Naya combines strong technical skills with experience in collaboration, client support, and agile project delivery.
Phoebe Han
Phoebe Han is a software QA and technology professional with experience at Samsung Electronics and Incognito Software Systems, specializing in automated testing, quality assurance, and CI/CD processes. A Simon Fraser University graduate with a degree in Computer Science and a Minor in Mathematics, she has built innovative projects including a 3D medical imaging reconstruction platform and a data-driven television analytics system. Phoebe is also an active educator and mentor, having served as a coding instructor, teaching assistant, student mentor, and university ambassador, helping students develop technical and academic skills.

Shreyas Wankhede is a mechanical engineer with advanced training from the University of Toronto and IIT Bombay, specializing in product design, manufacturing optimization, and materials engineering. His experience includes leading composite materials research at the University of Toronto, where he improved material performance and durability through advanced manufacturing methods, and serving as a Technical Process Engineer at Bindwel & Stelda, where he delivered measurable gains in production efficiency, workflow optimization, and design quality. Certified in SOLIDWORKS, GD&T, and Lean Six Sigma, he combines engineering analysis with practical manufacturing expertise to develop innovative, high-performance solutions.
Futurvia Minds Society is a student-led organization in its day-to-day operations and program delivery. The Society is formally governed by an adult Board of Directors appointed in accordance with the Society’s bylaws and registered under the British Columbia Societies Act, with responsibility for governance oversight, fiduciary duty, and regulatory compliance.
